RTS

Rights & Title Specialists Inc.

RTS Rights & Title Specialists Inc. is expert in preparing comprehensive, detailed Ethnohistorical reports. The reports document the history of a First Nation and their continuous use and occupation of a territory dating from the time of contact with Europeans to the present. An ethnohistorical report is not a Traditional Use Study [TUS], nor is it a mapping project or a traditional knowledge interview survey - although it incorporates as chapters all of that information.

At times a First Nation requires a report specific to a particular topic such as hunting, trapping and/or fishing or the honouring of treaty or settlement agreement rights. We prepare those reports as well. Later - a number of targeted reports can be used as chapters in an ethnohistorical/strength of claim report or reformatted to become a classroom textbook specifically about the history of that First Nation.

RTS also offers negotiation and litigation support. Click on the tabs above for additional, more detailed information.
